A&P looks for potential retail employees with great customer service skills who can provide a great shopping experience each time customers enter their grocery store. When you work for your local A&P, you are serving the community and helping your local neighbor find delicious food for their family.

There are many departments for the retail hourly employee to find a position. This is the ideal opportunity if you are looking for a retail hourly job, because there is more potential to find a position than with stores that only have one type of position. Remember if you have experience or knowledge of a specialty to be sure to mention it on your application.

Hourly employees can find jobs in the bakery, customer service, dairy, deli, floral department, frozen foods section, seafood section, meat department, health & beauty, produce, liquor and the store’s Starbucks location. For each position you’ll want to have excellent customer service skills, high-energy and the ability to work a flexible schedule. Some stores are open 24-hours a day, and may require you to work late evenings or early mornings to accommodate the schedule.
A&P Employee Benefits:
A&P is a family of about six grocery store chains, including Walbaums and they do offer a benefits package. Some positions at stores are union and others are non-union. Be sure to ask about the benefits package and if the position you are applying for is part of the union or is not part of the union.

To apply to A&P online all you have to do is go to the A&P careers link, A&P Careers- Work For Us You can narrow your search By selecting which area of the business you are interested in. You can choose to work In Store, Pharmacy Careers, Store Management, or Corporate.
If you select ‘In Store’ you get to choose which department you want to work in. Select the position you want and then select the ‘find Location’. A list of stores that are accepting applications for the position you want will appear. Select the store and press the submit button at the bottom of the page. You will have to create a new user account and then follow the instructions to fill out the A&P Online Job Application form.
